No basement, but there's a cold root cellar which will store your potatoes, carrots, and beets if you don't mind the lizards which live down there
Skunks will occasionally go under the house. If the dog scares them, you'll have unbearable odour for a week.
Located 3K from the nearest paved road
Appliances include a coal-burning cookstove which requires daily emptying of the ash container. Other appliances include cream separator, wringer-washer, and kerosene lantern for the frequent power outages.
Water is free, however it must be hauled on a stoneboat in 45-gal drums from the dugout.
Also included are outhouse and clothesline
Family of eight has lived here along with occasional room-and-boarders
Included are 3 acres of potatoes and a 1-acre vegetable garden which require constant weeding and care.
Included is a year's supply of fresh organic raw milk. The cow requires milking, by hand, every morning and every night.
